SMARTtrain Chemical Risk Management (Level 4)

Description

This course is suitable for training supervisors, managers and pesticide users to increase their skills in identifying and reducing risks in the workplace relating to the transport, storage, handling and storage of hazardous chemicals. Participants must be accredited at Level 3 to enrol in a Level 4 course.

Course aims

To assist participants to manage the risks associated with the use of chemicals in the workplace.

Prerequisites

Level 3 units of competency:

  • AHCHM303 Prepare and apply chemicals
  • AHCHM304 Transport and store chemicals

This course is mapped to the following national units of competency:

  • AHCCHM401 - Develop procedures to minimise risks in the use of chemicals
  • AHCCHM402 - Plan and implement a chemical use program.
